Curtis Holler, 2009 Woodstock HOG Webmaster
After a 20 year hiatus while pursuing other hobbies and interests, Curtis Holler finally made the decision to begin
enjoying once again the excitement and passion motorcycling has to offer. In June of 2008, he purchased his first Harley-Davidson,
a new FLHX Street Glide. Shortly after, in August 2008, Curtis joined Woodstock HOG with the intention to go on a few rides a year. As some say,
plans are meant to be broken.
Finding the first ride and members enjoyable, Curtis went on another group journey. Again, with good results. He was now looking forward to the next ride, tuning his riding skills and
getting to know fellow riders better. Unfortunately, that process moved along at a quicker pace than planned after a cold, but beautiful, early fall morning ride into scenic Vermont.
During that ride, our Chapter suffered the loss of two members who are greatly missed. Jillian Gartman and Steven Ehrle. Curtis now needed to reconsider his options and decide whether
or not Woodstock HOG and motorcycling was in his best interest. Curtis decided to keep riding.
It was then decided he could "pay it forward." Using skills developed in the past by running a Web site for truck enthusiasts, Curtis began to work on improving the Chapters own Web
site with the goal of increasing our online presence while promoting a positive image within the community.
His "day job" finds him working for a local manufacturer where he has worked for the past 22 years. Most of them as a union CNC lathe operator with about 30 years in the trade.
Curtis looks forward to many good times and years ahead with his Woodstock HOG family and the journeys they may bring.
