Dave Guido, 2009 Woodstock HOG Asst. Road Captain
Dave Guido enlisted in the Marine Corps right out of High School in August, 1976. Traveled the world either by ship, plane or
foot for 24.5 years. During this time, he was able to ride many different makes/styles of bikes to include racing scooters
and GAG bikes. Pulled a stint in Okinawa training Marine Corps couriers to ride and for a short period, was an MSF
instructor. Decided to retire in 2000 and moved back to Kingston. In 2004, Dave decided to get another motorcycle and joined the Chapter
in January of 2005. He has been an active member ever since.
Currently employed at West Point for a civilian contractor (Akima Logistics Services) as the Maintenance Manager, Dave loves the
40+ mile ride to work each way during the seasonal riding months on his 2004 FXD Harley-Davidson. In his spare time, Dave likes to work in the yard and tinker with just about anything
when he's not attending a Chapter function or on a group ride. Dave's wife Chiharu, works in retail and tries to participate in as many functions and
rides as possible.
Ayaka, Dave's daughter, is studying at the Culinary Institute and looking forward to an internship on Nantucket Island from May to October. If things go as planned, he'll be able to share her
culinary delights with Chapter members.
Dave plans to continue and enjoy the company of fellow HOG members while doing whatever he can to support the Chapter.
