Don Gomo, 2009 Woodstock HOG Director
Don Gomo has been a member of Woodstock HOG since May 1999. Over the ten years of his membership he has held several Officer Positions: Activities Officer (2000-2001),
Assistant Director (2001-2002), Head Road Captain (2002), Director (2003), Safety Officer (2004) & Road Captain (2008).
He is also very active with motorcycle safety/skills education. Don is a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCoach, the Safety Editor for American Iron Magazine, the
Harley-Davidson Editor for the online magazine Fredandfriends.pro as well as a contributing writer for magazines
such as BacdRoads, RoadBike and others and is the administrator for his Web site; SkilledRider.net. Besides all
that, Don volunteers by addressing area HOG Chapters and other motorcycle clubs as well as speaks to
Driver Ed programs on motorcycle awareness. He has received several awards nationally and regionally for his work.
In his daily life Don is a project manager for a mechanical contractor and a union steamfitter by trade for 21 years. Before that he would earn his living as a chef. He is
also a part time juggler and a deacon for his church.
As you can tell he is very involved with the sport and is passionate about it. Keeping things fun, interesting and as safe as possible are Don’s key goals as Director
supporting H.O.G.’s motto of Ride & Have Fun.
